The BS3621 problem in older WA8 stock

How long will you really take to reach Widnes?

Yes, and it is the right call. You cannot know how many keys were cut at a kiosk over an eighteen month tenancy, and asking does not help. Swapping the euro cylinder is £35 to £60 per door and it makes every old key dead instantly, which is the only thing that actually solves the problem. Front and back keyed alike is £70 to £110 so your incoming tenant carries one key. If you have more than a handful of doors, a master key system stops you doing this one property at a time.
My Widnes terrace has an old mortice lock. Does it meet insurance requirements?
Probably not, and it is worth checking now rather than at claim time. Most landlord policies and a lot of tenant contents policies require BS3621 on final exit doors.
